MCAS is a complex condition that is on the rise, affecting approximately one in six people, where roughly 91% of cases occur in females with a peak incidence in the 21–50 age group. While there isn’t a cure, symptom remission is achievable with proper support and personalized health care from an MCAS-literate clinician.
-
Functional Fertility is a root-cause approach to reproductive health that addresses underlying, non-structural factors affecting conception, such as hormonal imbalances, nutrition, lifestyle, stress, and environmental toxins. Unlike conventional medicine, which may focus on specific, isolated symptoms, functional fertility seeks to restore the body’s overall balance to optimize natural, long-term reproductive health.
-
Holistic mental health is an approach to well-being that treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than just focusing on symptom management. It focuses on lifestyle factors, such as nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness, as well as dietary and nutraceutical supplements, to address root causes and optimize whole-body health.
-
Functional medicine for autoimmunity is a patient-centered, root-cause approach that focuses on identifying the underlying causes of immune system dysfunction. Instead of focusing only on the autoimmune diagnosis (e.g., Hashimoto’s, Lupus), we look for triggers—chronic infections, heavy metals, nutrient deficiencies, toxins, lifestyle factors—and address those components rather than just suppressing symptoms.
-
Reducing systemic inflammation and promoting intestinal health are foundational in achieving optimal, whole-body health. Poor nutrition, inadequate sleep, stress, and a sedentary lifestyle are all contributors to suboptimal health. We partner with you to create healthy transformation and lasting recovery.
-
We focus on personalized nutrition to achieve and maintain optimal health, rich in micro- and macronutrients and antioxidants—including whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes—tailored to your unique genetics, gut microbiome, biomarkers, and lifestyle.

The Nouriva Health Journey
1
First Virtual Visit
We will get together virtually via your computer's webcam or your smartphone's camera. Plan to spend 60 minutes together to discuss your symptoms, concerns, health history, and family history, and begin devising a plan to outline your health journey with Nouriva.
If you do not have a computer or Internet access, we will work with you to find a local library that has a private room for your visit.
2
Lab Analysis
In most cases, we test before we treat. If you’ve had lab tests completed within 8 weeks of your visit with us, we can use those as a starting point. Depending on the nature of your symptoms, we may need you to get additional testing. Some laboratory tests may be restricted if you reside in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, or Maryland. We will work with you to ensure we have everything we need for a seamless journey.
3
Follow-ups
Every person is different, and the timeframe of each person’s health journey varies. Typically, your first two follow-ups will be within the first 3-4 weeks. After that, your visits may be biweekly, monthly, or bimonthly. It is essential to conduct regular follow-ups to monitor your progress and address any changes to your treatment plan, keeping you on track. If you have a complex, chronic, treatment-resistant condition, such as MCAS, your care typically unfolds over 6 to 18+ months, involves iterative protocol adjustments, lab interpretation, and frequent check-ins.
4
Health Maintenance
Once you achieve symptom remission, it will be important to check in every 2 to 4 months to ensure nothing is blocking you from maintaining optimal health. Subtle symptoms can go unnoticed until they are flagged during a maintenance visit. This can help us reroute your health journey so that you don’t endure unnecessarily worsened symptoms in the future.
